Immigration Act receives Royal Assent: free movement to end on 31 December 2020

On the 11th November 2020 the Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Act received Royal Assent.  The Act, in effect from 11pm on the 31st December 2020, puts an end to Free Movement rights for EEA nationals living in the UK.

The new visa application process EEA nationals to live, work and study in the UK comes into effect on the 1st January 2021.  Further information on how to apply for a visa and how the new immigration system works can be found at:
