On the 11th November 2020 the Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Act received Royal Assent. The Act, in effect from 11pm on the 31st December 2020, puts an end to Free Movement rights for EEA nationals living in the UK.
The new visa application process EEA nationals to live, work and study in the UK comes into effect on the 1st January 2021. EEA Nationals are exempt if they are an Irish citizen or currently living in the UK and have been granted settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement scheme.
